With an interest in all types of music from a young age, TJ began experimenting with mixing at the age of 12. Growing up as the son of a popular local DJ, he used access to equipment to indulge his creativity. Listening to the likes of Funkmaster Flex and DJ Jazzy Jeff, he taught himself how to scratch and mimic the styles of hip hop DJs that were running the game. With the advent of digital DJing, access to all genres became much easier, and the Open Format DJ came in to his own. From rocking house parties in college to the top bottle service nightclubs in Boston and Connecticut, his style reflects 20 years of diverse musical influences.
